An animated adaptation concept of Victor Hugo’s novel ‘Les Misérables’. Following the later half of the novel, and the story of the students of the 1832 Rebellion

In this sequence we follow the rebellion’s cynical friend Grantaire, who is noted in the story to not stand for the same cause as everybody else. As he realises that Enjolras - the rebellion’s leader, who he is in love with - is about to be killed by soldiers after their uprising, he sacrifices himself in an act of bravery so that Enjolras doesn’t have to die alone. This scene is a symbol of Grantaire’s hidden bravery, and the dedication he has towards Enjolras.
